Our packaged system includes EVERYTHING needed for a complete professional installation! Two part epoxy primer, our patented three component 100% military grade epoxy, high gloss urethane fortified ultra high wear epoxy topcoat, etching solution and TSP neutralizing powder, anti wear nonskid additive, heavy duty calibrated notched squeegee(for automatically spreading the epoxy at the proper thickness), heavy duty rollers and complete easy to follow instructions.
The Ultra kit is self leveling making it suitable for application by non-professionals. Even first timers can easily apply our kit for a showroom finish floor
that is an extra thick 23 Mils! Fills in hairline cracks, small chips and pitted areas permanently! For very rough and or badly pitted floors add 20% to floor area when ordering since these types of floors will consume more material or order our self leveling floor resurfacing slurry from the crack and joint repair page.
Don't be fooled by low advertised prices.
See our detailed Epoxy Comparison Chart for a true price & specification comparison against other brands! See what the real cost of other brands are and how they compare in the critical test areas of thickness, abrasion resistance, adhesion, impact resistance(hardness) and gloss.
Ultra is super versatile and is engineered to be a permanent coating on any type of concrete or wood floors even under the harshest traffic and environmental conditions. Also works great for encapsulating old VCT tile floors(please specify when using over VCT) and can handle an unlimited amount of foot traffic. Ceilings and vertical surfaces can be coated with Ultra without drips or runs.
Ultra is USDA approved!
Conventional floor enamels are 2-3 Mils thick, water based epoxies 3-4 Mils thick, hybrid cycloaliphatic epoxies are under 10 Mils thick. These thin coatings although well marketed with low selling prices are all prone to failures.

This is a tried and true epoxy floor paint system. Applying a single coat system or some water based type epoxy for your large industrial or heavy traffic commercial floor would be making a big mistake. There's a reason why we make this a three coat system, it's designed to provide the greatest adhesion to your subfloor, to be highly impact resistant and extremely durable against abrasion wear. The thing to keep in mind is that epoxy floors fail by either one or all of the following reasons, (1)delamination, (2) chipping/cracking (3) abrasion wear through.
Our primer is a two part epoxy based coating that is designed to penetrate into the pores of your concrete floor and provide an inseparable permanent bond to your concrete floor. If you stopped with just our primer you would have a stronger more durable floor than 90% of the epoxy floor paints on the market today. The epoxy base coat is the core, it's an extra thick coating of our high build military grade 100% solids epoxy for strength, this provides the mass that protects against the chipping/cracking from impacts and stress from high loads. Then we topcoat it with our Ultra Hard High Wear epoxy topcoat, take a look at our abrasion rating in the comparison chart, at 4mg(the lower the better) no other product comes close, our topcoat is 6 times harder than our closest competitor! This is the hard shell finish that provides the protection against the wearing out problem and should it wear out at some point you simply roller on another coating of the topcoat and the floor comes right back to new again without you ever having to touch the primer or base coat epoxy!
No epoxy can be or should be a topcoat and no topcoat is harder than our topcoat. You must have a thickness of 14 Mils or higher and an abrasion loss rating of 12mg or lower for high traffic-high wear floors otherwise you are simply wasting your time and money. Using an under rated epoxy coating for your floor will result in a floor with a very poor appearance a lot quicker than you would ever imagine. Then you will have to do an expensive diamond grinding job to remove the coating and start over with an appropriate epoxy.
Which applications need Ultra?
The following is a general list of who does and doesn't need Ultra, keeping in mind that you can never go wrong with using a higher grade epoxy system than you need:
Industrial and Commercial Maintenance Shops , metal shops, large race shops, industrial machine shops need Ultra, precision machine shops with enclosed CNC machines can use the Armor II system, most wood shops can use the Armor II system.
Floors With Extra Large Heavy Forklifts or high forklift traffic need Ultra, floors with small forklifts, pallet jacks and low traffic can use the Armor II system.
Animal Facilities All types of animal facilities such as Dog Kennels, Animal Hospitals, Operating Rooms etc. This floor offers a pet friendly surface, an owner friendly surface as in easy to clean and maintain and is virtually an indestructible floor surface. This is the floor you want that will last 20 or more years.
Retail Floors with very high foot traffic and or shopping cart traffic should use Ultra, floors with high rolling material cart traffic or heavy material cart traffic must use Ultra, low and or light rolling material cart traffic can use the Armor II system, high repetitive traffic whereas people, carts, dollies, forklifts, vehicles etc travel continuously over the same path must use Ultra since these types of floors are most susceptible to wear paths.
High Volume Auto Service Centers -use Ultra, low volume auto centers can use Armor II system, any floor with high/heavy steel wheel traffic must use Ultra, low/light or infrequent steel wheel traffic can use Armor II.
Commercial Kitchen Floors should use Ultra, most aircraft hangars should use Ultra, hangars with light aircraft, helicopters and infrequent usage can use the Armor II system, laboratories with chemical exposure should use Ultra, laboratories with no chemical exposure can use the Armor II system.
Commercial Parking Garages should use Ultra, large personal garages/shops can use the Armor II system, most showrooms can use the Armor II system, large cafeterias should use the Ultra system, computer rooms and data center floors can use the Armor II system, high traffic restaurant floors should use the Ultra system. The above should give you a good idea of when to use which epoxy but if you're still not sure gives us a call to discuss your particular floor application.
