Sold as a complete turnkey package by the square foot. Your order will include a sufficient amount of coating and mohair rollers to do two coats, the proper amount of wood primer for wood surface applications, and the proper amount of etching materials to prepare concrete surfaces. No components for you to calculate and package together; simply enter the square footage of your area into the quantity box, and we do the rest.
Minimum order size is 200 square feet and ordered in 200 square foot increments, ie: a 375 sf deck would be ordered as 400 sf, a 525 sf driveway would be ordered as 600 sf. We recommend a 10% safety factor for old wood surfaces, sidewalks, and driveways to allow for more porous and rougher surfaces.

Which Surfaces Can You Coat With ArmorGarage ResurFinish?
*For vehicle traffic on concrete driveways, topcoat with ArmorGarage UltraGlaze urethane for added protection. ResurFinish is not suitable for asphalt — for asphalt surfaces, use ArmorGarage Surface Bond instead.
Color options: ArmorGarage ResurFinish comes in two pre-tinted heat-reflecting colors, plus a non-tinted version you can field-tint to any color with 1 gallon of standard acrylic or latex Porch & Patio Paint. Note that field tinting with standard paint will not provide the cooling technology of the pre-tinted versions.
How Do You Apply ArmorGarage ResurFinish?
Application is simple with our Mohair rollers — no contractor or special equipment needed. Two coats are required. See the TDS/Instructions for full details.
CONCRETE SURFACES
Etching details: Concrete must be etched clean or diamond ground with a floor prep machine (rentable from Home Depot). If you diamond grind, you don't need to etch. To etch: wet the floor — a quick power wash is preferable — then mix 1/2 pound of the supplied etch material with 2 gallons of water for every 200 square feet. Sprinkle evenly over the surface in sections and scrub in with a stiff bristle shop broom or pool brush. Let sit for 5 minutes, then sprinkle 1 lb of TSP powder per 1,000 square feet to bring concrete back to proper PH (critical for maximum adhesion), brush in, and rinse thoroughly. Allow the concrete to dry a minimum of 24–48 hours after etching. If the concrete still appears dirty, etch a second time and apply the TSP after the second etch.
WOOD SURFACES
Power wash the wood clean and remove any loose material from the surface. Apply ArmorGarage Wood Primer and allow it to dry to the touch, then apply two coats of ResurFinish the same as on concrete.
ResurFinish: Common Questions
Does ResurFinish really keep a deck or patio cooler?
Yes — the two pre-tinted colors use solar-reflecting pigments that reduce surface temperature enough to stay barefoot-friendly in direct sun. The non-tinted, field-tintable version does not include the cooling technology.
Is ResurFinish slippery when wet?
No. The textured finish provides traction even when wet, which is why it's made for pool decks, porches, and other outdoor areas that see water, chlorine, and saltwater.
How much ResurFinish, Primer, Rollers or Etch do I need?
We calculate all the material quantities for you. Simply enter your square footage into the quantity box, select surface type (wood or concrete) and click Add To Cart. We do everything else and ship it directly to your location.
Can I use ResurFinish on my driveway?
On concrete driveways, yes — topcoat with ArmorGarage UltraGlaze urethane for added protection under vehicle traffic. ArmorGarage ResurFinish is not suitable for asphalt; for asphalt driveways, use ArmorGarage Surface Bond.
What happened to Renew It Deck Coating and Super Deck Paint?
ArmorGarage ResurFinish replaces both. It combines the wood-deck durability of Super Deck Paint and the textured finish of Renew It into one upgraded vehicle rated formula — and adds the cool surface technology neither had. If you previously used either product, ArmorGarage ResurFinish is the direct successor for recoats and new projects.
How soon can I walk or drive on it?
Foot traffic the next day. Vehicle traffic in 3–4 days on concrete driveways (with the UltraGlaze topcoat recommended for vehicle areas; use 1 gallon/600 SF).
