ArmorGarage has a new look and it has the same dramatic effects as Metallic Epoxy but is much easier to do. It's a three layer process. We provide you with our high performance primer in clear which has the best penetrating and adhesion characteristics of any primer. It seals your concrete and provides a surface that allows the second layer which is UV rated high performance military grade clear epoxy with the Glitter to permanently bond to it. Then the Glitter is sealed with our best in industry military grade clear topcoat. You can add in the supplied nonslip to provide an Emery board type finish for slip resistance.

This provides you with a beautiful dramatic and unique concrete floor paint finish that is super durable. It will have a 4 mg Abrasion Loss rating which is far superior to most other topcoats with ratings of 20 mgs and higher. The lower the mg loss rating the better and each mg lower is exponentially better.

We provide you with everything you'll need to do the job and get professional looking results. No prior experience is needed with this system.

System includes Acid Etching solution to clean and profile your concrete slab, primer, UV rated epoxy, 8lbs of glitter, military grade topcoat, rollers, mixer and nonslip additive.

Extremely versatile in applications since this is vehicle rated, forklift rated, retail and commercial duty rated. So can be applied as a decorative concrete sealer paint for salons, retail stores, showrooms, studios, garages and many other applications. Unlike other water based one or two layer systems our Concrete Glitter epoxy paint system will be 23 mils thick and will not dull or wear out like cycliophatic and water based epoxies do. This is also a much longer term solution to concrete stains or standard concrete paints. Stains are prone to fading and dulling very quickly and standard concrete paints don't have long term durability and tend to peel and wear off the floor quickly.

SO YOU CAN HAVE ONE COLOR OVER THE ENTIRE FLOOR, YOU CAN HAVE A FLOOR WITH DIFFERENT COLORS IN DIFFERENT SECTIONS. YOU CAN ALSO HAVE MULTIPLE COLORS OVER THE ENTIRE FLOOR. YOU WILL RECEIVE 8LBS OF GLITTER WITH EACH KIT. SO YOU CAN DO 4LBS OF TWO COLORS EACH OR YOU CAN DO 4 COLORS OF 2LBS EACH OR YOU CAN DO ANY COLOR COMBO THAT ADDS UP TO 8LBS.

One kit will cover up to 500 sf. Coverage may vary due to porosity and texture of your floor. We recommend that you have at least a 10 to 15% safety cushion in your square foot coverage.
Floor temperature should be 60 degrees or warmer for best results. Radiant heated floors are fine for this application.

Power washing floor is strongly recommended or diamond grinding if washing is not feasible. After power washing you must etch the floor with the provided acid etching solution. Mix 1 gallon acid to 4 gallons water, spread evenly over floor and scrub in thoroughly with stiff bristled shop broom or scrub brush. Let sit for 5 minutes and then rinse off thoroughly and let dry minimum of 24 hours or till all moisture is out of the floor. Failure to properly clean the floor or let it dry properly will result in failed spots in the future. See HOW TO PREP & PAINT YOUR FLOOR

Next mix the clear primer, we recommend one gallon at a time. Our epoxies are not like store bought epoxies and the more you mix the faster they cure. Roll primer on like regular paint with supplied roller and let dry between 6 and 24 hrs. Then Mix the clear epoxy and again no more then 1.5 gallons at a time. Mix for about 3 minutes on low to medium speed with supplied mixer. Once epoxy Parts A & B are mixed together mix in the glitter at a rate of 4lbs per 1,5 gallons of epoxy until Glitter is evenly distributed. Spread out evenly over the primer with roller, keep epoxy stirred to keep Glitter suspended. Let dry over night. Then stir topcoat in can with nonslip additive and pour into roller pan and then roller out. Keep mixing topcoat can to keep nonslip suspended. Topcoat dries in about 5-8 hrs. At which time you can walk on it and put all your stuff back on the floor. We recommend no vehicle traffic for 3 days.

  • Do I have to etch if I diamond grind? No you don't but just make sure that all the dust is off the floor prior to apply the epoxy.
  • How long will this last and can I recoat it in the future? Longevity depends on type of traffic and amount of traffic. We typically get 10 years out of our epoxy systems and at that time you can simply roll on a refresher topcoat to bring the floor back to brand new.
  • Wat is the warranty? The warranty is 2 years across the board including wear which no other company will do. Wear is the single most important thing you want to be covered for.
  • Should I fill in the cracks first? Yes fill in cracks and then etch or grind.
  • Can I do multiple Glitter colors? You can do any color combination you want. You can do different colors in sections or you mix a combo of different glitter colors to make your own custom glitter color
