Heavy Duty PVC Interlocking Garage Floor Tiles
These are our heavy duty Standard 20.5" x 20.5" Armor Interlocking Garage Tiles that are a fast and great looking solution for just about any floor regardless of its condition! Their unique water tight seams and the highest rated roll over capacity of 160,000 lbs and an incredible 75,000 lbs static load capacity make them perfect as garage flooring, showroom floors, workshops, mechanical rooms, production areas, gyms, or vehicles as heavy as fully loaded fire engines! They are so strong they can bridge over cracks and divots 3" wide!
No other garage tile comes close to this type of performance. Some garage tiles have nice sounding roll over capacities but their static load capacity are only a fraction of that and will deform into a U shape with the edges sticking up when you have a heavy static load on them. Long stationary loads are even worse on hollow tiles such as car storage or product storage.
Although Armor Interlocking garage Tiles may cost slightly more than hollow cored Polypropylene Garage Tiles, we guarantee their quality for LIFE!! Other garage tiles weighing a pound or less may save you a few dollars but they don't compare in quality, finished look or durability. Simply put you can't buy a better made or better looking interlocking garage tile.
Don't be fooled by thicker tiles, they are thicker because they have to be because they're hollow. So although most popular tiles are 3/8"-1/2" thick you are only getting a 1/16" wear surface versus our solid 1/4" tile. Also their Peg & Loop joints let water, corrosive road salts, dirt, small debris and oil from your car get into and under the floor. How do you think you're going to clean up all that stuff under there?
Armor Interlocking Garage Tiles are flexible and will conform to the contour of your uneven floor. This is an important factor since we all know that no floor is perfectly level. This is where all Hollow Peg & Loop type tiles come up short, they're all very brittle causing them to make a horrible noise when driven called tile rattle and eventually cracking. Armor Garage Tiles are sound deadening right out of the box! No popping, clicking or clacking noises!
AND HAVE IT SURVIVE!
Use the Heavy Duty Ramp Edge that makes a small 'ramp' from the tiles to the floor to reduce any chance of tripping on the edge. The ramp edge is sold separately by the lineal foot and comes in the length you order.
We now offer two choices of protection for your new garage tile. We suggest our special urethane clear coat if you would like a glossy finish to your floor and or if your floor will be in a harsh environment. The clear coat will also help prevent tire staining. If you have high performance tires we strongly recommend either the clear coat or the following. The second option is our new garage tiles with Armor Shield additive. It's a stain protecting additive injected into the tile during the molding which makes them maintenance free.Flat Tiles are Tiles without a raised pattern but finished in an Orange Peel type surface for traction. We strongly suggest you order Flat Style Tiles if you do a lot of work with rolling tool chests, rolling carts or hydraulic floor jacks. Flat Tiles offer a smoother surface for your wheeled equipment to roll over vs the raised coin pattern. NOTE: If you would like a two color floor simply enter the square footage of the first color into the quantity box then click add to cart, click continue shopping, then enter the square footage of the second color and add to cart. GRAY & BLACK COIN PATTERN TILES SHIP 2-3 BUSINESS DAYS PLEASE ALLOW 3-4 WEEKS FOR FABRICATION OF OTHER COLORS PLUS NORMAL GROUND DELIVERY TIME. Please note that due to the weight of our tiles, it is very costly to ship small quantities by the box. All orders under 300 sf will have a shipping charge of $25.00/box added (10 tiles/box). Orders over 300 sf still ship free on a pallet via a truck with liftgate service.
Tile price is per square foot and NOT per tile.
Armor Interlocking Garage Tiles
Our garage tiles come in a standard size of 20.5" x 20.5" (2.9 sq. ft/tile). Therefore you need to install less tiles than standard 1 sq ft tiles. You can easily trim or cut Armor Tiles with any type power saw! They cut smoothly and cleanly with no ragged edges! Install a 3 car garage in 3 hrs! Our larger Tile give your floor a far superior look compared to 12" tiles.ORDERING INFO:
Tiles are sold per the sq ft, we suggest you add a minimum of 5% to the square footage of your floor to account for cutting waste or a cutting mistake.Simply enter the adjusted square footage of your floor into the qty order box and we'll determine the amount of tiles needed, we round up to the nearest full tile. Please note that orders of garage tiles UNDER 200 SF are not returnable. We very seldom sell floors that small and each batch of tiles varies slightly in color so that a small amount of the garage tiles being returned would not be resell-able due to the fact that they wouldn't match any new tiles being produced.
ORDER EXAMPLE: Floor is 22' x 20'= 440 sq/ft * 5% = 462 sq/ft. You enter the adjusted square footage of "462" in the qty order box. We'll determine the amount of tiles when we process your order, in this example the total number of tiles is 159.3 tiles which we would round up to 154 tiles.
Installing Garage tiles
Simply start from front to back installing full tiles. Leave the side wall and back wall cuts for last. If you end up with a small 1-3" piece on each side wall we suggest you shift the floor to one side to give yourself a bigger piece to work with.
We recommend that you cut the tabs of the front row tiles where you will slide the ramp edge onto and then put a bead of good construction adhesive under the ramp and part of the first row tiles to lock everything in place. You can also put some good epoxy glue such as JB Weld inside the U-Slot of the ramp edge to glue the tile to the inside of the edging for added strength.
Floor prep is simple, just sweep the floor clean. If gluing the floor down for commercial installations we suggest you power wash the floor to remove all dirt and loose debris. We would also suggest you mix a cup of TSP with 5 gallons of water and scrub that over the floor to degrease it. Oil or grease in the floor could effect the bonding of the adhesive.
The garage tiles can be cut with any power saw, circular cuts can be made with a utility knife. If cutting around door jambs a mini circular saw works great or you can use a utility knife for these cuts. But if you have a lot of these cuts to make it's best to have a mini circular saw.
If gluing the tiles down you should install aprox half the tiles then begin gluing the tiles down. Once the half is completed with the glue then you can remove the other half and reinstall them with glue. The reason for this extra step is make sure that you are installing the tiles perfectly square. If you are off a little bit you will get to a point where the interlocking tabs won't fit together. Not a big deal when not gluing them down but an obvious bigger problem if the tiles are glued down. Installing about half the floor loose will ensure you're tiles are square.
Once you've installed your new tiles be sure to protect them with our tile clear coat or a good coat of commercial wax. Tires today are made with new additives and plasticizers that can cause the rubber to leach out of your tires and stain the tiles. This holds true for any tile. Also see our Tiles with the Armor Shield additive which is injected into the tiles and protects the tiles from all types of staining. Please note that due to the varied nature of tire compounds the warranty does not cover tire staining on tiles without the Armor Shield Additive or purchase of the Armor Tile coating.

What is the Armor Shield Additive?
The armor Shield additive is a new chemical additive we developed that is injected into the garage tiles during the injection molding process. The additive is infused throughout the tile so that there is nothing to wear away and no maintenance required by you ever. It will add a shine to the tiles, make them stain proof and less slippery. We highly recommend this option and it is far superior to any surface coating you can field apply, even ours.
How Do The Tiles Get Delivered?
We will deliver them on a truck with a lift gate so that you don't have to manually unload the tiles. We will make every attempt to have the trucker unload tiles in front of your door. Please note that if you live in a rural area with a long winding unpaved driveway it may be impossible for truck to delivery it to your door, in which case the trucker will make a curbside delivery. This will apply to any access impeded by heavy snow or ice.
Are the tiles sold by the tile or the square foot?
The garage tiles are sold by the square foot. Measure the square footage of your floor area and then add 5%. Then enter that total into the Quantity box. We will send you the number of tiles to cover that square footage.
What do I clean the tiles with?
Cleaning solutions such as Simple Green work best, no need for harsh chemicals. If your tiles are uncoated and do not have the Armor Shield additive and they get a stain you can try Magic Eraser to remove the stain. With Armor Shield additive a good pressure stream of water from a garden hose or a damp towel should be all you need to clean your tiles!
Please note that newer tires have additives and plasticizers to make them last longer, these new chemicals on some tires tend to cause the rubber to leach out and stain the tiles. We strongly recommend a coat of a good commercial wax if you are not applying the Armor Tile Coating.
What do I cut the tiles with and where do I start?
Any power saw with a sharp blade will cut the tiles cleanly and quickly. We recommend you start at the center front edge and work your way to the back. Knock the tiles together with a rubber mallet.
How long do they take to install?
The tiles install very quickly by just knocking them together with a rubber mallet. One man can do 200 square feet an hour.
How much clearance should I leave for expansion?
All materials expand and contract. if installing tiles in the heat of summer you can pretty much go up to the wall. If installing in the dead of winter we would allow about 3/8". You can cover the gap with non hardening caulk or base molding. Also note that if you have any part of the floor that will sit in direct sunlight for extended periods of time we recommend you apply some of our adhesive under those tiles to prevent those tiles from expanding at a different rate than those tiles in the shade.
Can I pressure wash the tiles?
You can do whatever you wish to the tiles, you won't hurt them!
What is the warranty and what happens if a tile is defective?
The tiles are guaranteed for life. If a tile is defective we will replace it free of charge. In the unlikely event that you manage to somehow damage a tile you can easily replace it with one on your shelf. The tiles can be popped out as easy as they were knocked together. If for some reason you don't have any spares we will ship you out new tiles for just the cost of the shipping.
A note on tire marks; we get asked a lot if tires will leave marks on our tile. Staining is caused by a component used by manufacturers of car tires called ‘6PPD’ [phenaline diamine].
6PPD is an anti-oxidant and is added to rubber products to resist environmental attack by ozone and ultraviolet light. It also has other beneficial effects in the molding of rubber itself. Since it adds to the cost of making tires, manufacturers usually only add it to the softer high performance tires. So there are some off road tires and high performance tires with soft compounds that leach rubber onto the tiles. If you have these types of tire compounds we recommend you use our protective Tile Coating or purchase the tiles with our new Armor Shield protective additive.
The additive which is inject directly into the tiles will make your tiles shine, stain proof and less slippery with no added effort or maintenance on your part. The additive is throughout the tile and therefore can never be worn away. This is a superior option to the tile coating but just in case you still want the old fashion coating we still offer it. We recommend our Garage Tile Coating or the Armor Shield additive for high traffic floors such as repair shops, machine shops, race shops or where there is lots of dirt, powder or corrosive fluids.
