One Armorpoxy II Kit provides two layers of protection and color coverage(paint & topcoat are the same color)! At 12.7 Mils thick it's up to 4 times thicker and harder than other brands! You must have a thick coating of at least 12 Mils for a smooth and durable finish! Low quality, thin epoxies without topcoats don't cover rough concrete surfaces properly. The concrete color will bleed through requiring you to purchase additional product and spend additional time and labor applying it. Then after spending more money and time you still will not have an epoxy floor finish equal to the color quality, beauty and durability of Armorpoxy II!
If you're not going to do an epoxy job right you're better off using a conventional floor enamel and repainting each year!
When you drive your car onto your epoxy floor in the summer with 180 degree tires you better have a topcoat with urethane in it or expect your bare epoxy to discolor, blister and have the high gloss finish worn off rather quickly. Armorpoxy II can be applied over new or old bare concrete, previously painted concrete (if the paint is in good condition and not blistering or peeling, see floor guide if you have this condition), any type of vct tile, brick or paver, metal, wood, equipment and machinery.
Our Ultra Wear Nonskid Additive is of the finest quality materials and provides superior traction and even more durability! It mixes right into the Armor Ultra Wear Topcoat and won't seperate out of the topcoat like other brands.
EASILY APPLIED. INSTALLATION TIME FOR 2 1/2 CAR GARAGE:
1-2 Hrs Clean & Etch, 1-2 Hrs Epoxy Paint, 1 Hr Topcoat.
COVERAGE:
EACH 3.5 GAL KIT WILL COVER APROX 550 SQ FT AND EACH 17.5 GAL KIT WILL COVER 2750 SQ FT AT 12.7 MILS THICKNESS. MORE POROUS SURFACES WILL YEILD LESS COVERGE.( See Armorpoxy II supplement kit for coverage on floors between 560-775 sq ft)
AVERAGE DRY TIME 4 HRS TO WALK ON AND TOPCOAT. FULL ROCK HARD CURE IN 24-48 hrs DEPENDING ON TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY.
APPLICATION:
Armorpoxy II can be brushed, rollered or sprayed on. Bare or Painted surfaces must be washed cleaned (power wash if possible) and then prepped with the included Acid Safe Etching Solution to provide a rough surface for the Epoxy to adhere to. To Etch simply mix solution with water according to packaged instructions, brush into floor with stiff bristled shop broom, let stand for 15 minutes and rinse well, that's it!
Note: If etching is not practical in your situation you may prep the floor by using a block & pole sander with 240 grit sandpaper. After Etching and rinsing thoroughly, let floor dry, mix Part A and Part B of the epoxy togethter at a 1:1 ratio(for 2 gallons total) then roller it on with the supplied epoxy roller that assures proper thickness! Let dry aproximately 4hrs till dry to the touch or overnight. Then mix Part A and Part B of the Topcoat at a 2:1 ratio(for 1.5 gallons total) and roller it on. That's it, the Armorpoxy II System will self level and cure to a beautiful rock hard high gloss finish!
